The difference between marble and tile
Nov 14, 2018

Marble is a metamorphic rock formed by the high temperature and high pressure of the original crust in the earth's crust. It is a recrystallized limestone with the main component being calcium carbonate. Limestone softens under high temperature and high pressure and recrystallizes to form marble when the mineral content changes.

Marble is generally soft in physical properties, which is relative to granite. In interior decoration, marble countertops, window sills, indoor floors, etc. are suitable for use in marble. It is mainly used for processing into various shapes and plates, as walls, floors, platforms and columns of buildings, and is also often used for materials such as monuments, towers and statues. Marble can also be carved into practical art such as arts and crafts, stationery, lamps and utensils. The texture is soft, beautiful,

dignified and elegant. It is an ideal material for decorating luxury buildings and a traditional material for art carving.

Tiles are refractory metal oxides and metal oxides, which are formed by grinding, mixing, pressing, glazing, sintering, etc., and are formed by an acid or alkali-resistant porcelain or stone building or decorative material. ceramic tile. Its raw materials are mostly made of clay, quartz sand and so on. Tiles are mainly energy-saving and beautifying.

One of the obvious differences between tiles and marbles is that the texture of marble is naturally formed, so there will be flaws. Floor tiles are artificial, and each pattern has the same color.
